Laptop
Choose
Choosing a laptop is easy once you decide what you need it for. Below are the key specifications and minimum recommendations for different tasks.
Processor
In the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 and AMD Ryzen 3/5/7 families the number shows the class: a higher number usually means more performance. A "U" at the end of the model normally means low power (thin laptops), while "H" means higher performance. MacBooks use Apple's own M-series processors.
NPU - neural processing unit
An NPU accelerates AI tasks in compatible applications, such as video-call background effects. Performance is often measured in TOPS. NPU TOPS is different from total platform TOPS, which can include the CPU and GPU. An NPU is not essential for everyday computing; check the requirements of the applications you plan to use.
Memory (RAM)
8 GB is enough for everyday use: browser, office, video. 16 GB is recommended if you run many programs at once or play games. Some laptops cannot be upgraded later, so choose the size you need when buying.
SSD storage
An SSD is much faster than an HDD and boots the laptop quickly. 256 GB is the minimum, 512 GB or more is comfortable.
Display
Full HD (1920×1080) with an IPS or OLED panel is the minimum for good colours and viewing angles. For gaming, 120 Hz or more gives smoother motion.
Graphics
Integrated graphics are enough for office and study tasks. Games and 3D work need a dedicated graphics card, for example an RTX-series model.
Operating system and Windows
Laptops often come with FreeDOS at the moment, meaning no operating system is pre-installed. If a laptop does not include a Windows licence, you either buy one yourself or have us install Windows 11 for 50 GEL (tick "Windows 11 Pro installation" in the order form and the amount is added to the total). All Apple MacBooks come with macOS pre-installed.

Budget and intended use
Before choosing, list your everyday tasks, essential features and maximum budget. Compare the total cost, including accessories, installation, consumables and maintenance. The most powerful model is not always necessary, although some performance headroom can keep a device useful for longer.
How to compare specifications
A single large number never tells the whole story. Compare products from the same class and intended use, considering performance, display, storage, connectivity, efficiency and software together. Confirm every critical feature against the exact model and SKU because configurations within one series can differ.
Compatibility and connections
Check ports, wireless standards, operating-system or app requirements and compatibility with equipment you already own. Confirm whether the box includes the required adapter, cable, mount or accessory so that no essential part is missing after delivery.
Size, placement and comfort
Measure the space where the product will be used or stored. Controls, menu layout, noise, display visibility, cable length and ease of cleaning all affect daily comfort. For portable devices, weight and practical battery life become priorities.
Power, battery and performance
Match power to real use. Higher wattage or a larger battery does not automatically mean a better result; efficiency, operating modes, fast charging and heat management also matter. For battery-powered products, check runtime, charger type and serviceability.
Quality, care and warranty
Consider materials, expected service life, availability of filters or consumables and maintenance requirements. Product pages show current availability and warranty. Keep the warranty card and packaging, and use the service center named on the card if warranty assistance is needed.
Pre-order checklist
Before adding an item to the cart, confirm the full model, color, dimensions, memory, package contents, availability and price. When choosing between two products, use their comparison page and start with the three specifications that matter most to you.
Payment and final choice
Selio.ge supports card payment, bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Choose the model that provides the required functions at a suitable price, has the right warranty and works with your other equipment.
